1. Who we are
mcBedrock.net (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is a community platform for Minecraft Bedrock Edition players and server owners. It is operated as part of the myGen Network. We are not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft Corporation.
2. What data we collect
Minecraft player data
Server operators who install our reporter addon or mod send us gameplay statistics from their servers. This includes:
- Minecraft player identifiers (Xbox User ID / XUID for Bedrock; UUID for Java Edition)
- In-game username (gamertag / player name)
- Gameplay statistics: time played, kills, deaths, blocks broken/placed, chat activity, and similar in-game metrics
- Session activity timestamps
This data is collected and displayed publicly as part of the site's core functionality — player profiles and leaderboards. If you play on a server that uses our reporter, your statistics will appear on this site. Server operators are responsible for informing their players that statistics are collected.
Account data
If you create an account on mcBedrock.net, we store:
- Your email address
- Your display name
- OAuth identifiers if you sign in via Google or Discord (we do not store your Google/Discord password)
- A bcrypt-hashed password if you register with email and password
- Any Minecraft player profiles you link to your account
Usage and analytics data
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. This collects anonymised information such as pages visited, browser type, approximate location (country/region), and session duration. Google Analytics uses cookies and may process your IP address. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Server owner data
Server owners who register their Minecraft server provide a server address and receive an API key. We store the server's connection details, ping data, and the API key (stored as a bcrypt hash — we cannot recover it if lost).
3. How we use your data
- To display player profiles, statistics, and leaderboards
- To authenticate you when you sign in to your account
- To associate your Minecraft player profiles with your account
- To send transactional emails (e.g. email verification, password reset) if you use email/password login
- To understand site usage via aggregated analytics
- To operate server discovery and server ping features
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data retention
Raw gameplay statistics are retained for 48 hours, then rolled up into hourly aggregates (kept for 7 days) and daily aggregates (kept for 30 days on standard servers, up to 365 days for premium servers). Player profile data (username, XUID) is retained indefinitely while a server reports activity for that player.
Account data is retained until you delete your account. You can request account deletion by contacting us at the address below.
5. Third-party services
- Google Analytics — usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in provider. Google Privacy Policy
- Discord OAuth — optional sign-in provider. Discord Privacy Policy
- GeyserMC API — used to resolve Minecraft Bedrock player profiles and skins. GeyserMC
- mcprofile.io — fallback for resolving player XUIDs when GeyserMC data is unavailable
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and tunnel services. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
6. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in to your account (essential)
- Google Analytics cookies — anonymous usage tracking (_ga, _gid, and similar)
We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
Minecraft player data (stats, username, XUID) is submitted by third-party server operators. If you want your player profile hidden from the site, you can do so by linking your Minecraft profile to an account and choosing the Opt Out option in your profile settings. This will hide your profile and statistics from public view while still allowing data to be collected.
To have your data deleted entirely, contact us and we will remove it from our records. Note that the server operator may re-submit it if you continue playing on their server.
8. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Minecraft player statistics (username, XUID, gameplay data) are submitted by server operators and are not considered directly collected from the player. If you are a parent and believe your child's personal data has been collected, please contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
